What if you went to your healthcare provider due to an illness or injury, but your provider didn’t use the most recent, up-to-date intervention during your appointment because they did not know about it, or there were too many barriers in their way to using it? Or maybe they found that the intervention could not be sustainably delivered over time, or that their patients were unwilling to use it. Unfortunately, research shows that it takes 17 years for only 14% of interventions to be used in practice, representing a major population-level gap in healthcare service access, quality, and effectiveness.  My research focuses on bridging that gap by developing and testing implementation strategies to increase the use, reach, and sustainment of interventions in real-world practice and policy settings.
